This is a poem I have written for all my fellow Hunger Games fans. May the odds be ever in your favor !
Everdeen
In the nation of Panem, lived a girl from District Twelve
On her hunger and lack of wealth, she tried not to dwell.
But the day all she felt was fear
Was the day she had to volunteer.
She had dreaded this day from the beginning
The day she had to play the worst game ever
A game only the most cruel had a chance of winning.
To win this game of death
She had to fight till her very last breath.
And so she did, and emerged victorious,
In her journey she met many, some sweet and some notorious.
But one remained with her through the end
First her fellow victor, and then her friend.
They fought countless wars together,
And together countless forces they aligned
But those tales are for another time.
You may be wondering who this girl was, such a fearless queen ;
Her name was Katniss, Katniss Everdeen.
